Garden Pests
They come in a variety of sizes and shapes. Garden pests can be small, like that cute little bunny hopping by.
They can be of medium size, like the curious groundhog popping its head out of a hole. They can also be quite large, like that adorable doe with her fawn.
Whatever their size, gardening pests can be a nuisance and getting rid of them can be a challenge.
In attempting some garden animal pest control to protect your areas of bloom, you may find some garden plants that are listed and categorized as deer, groundhog or rabbit "resistant".
This simply means that given a choice, the deer, groundhog or rabbit would prefer to eat something else.
Interestingly though, plants that seem to be resistant in your neighbor's garden actually may be a favorite food in your garden.
Something else to keep in mind, just like any other animal, when deer, groundhog or rabbits are hungry enough, they'll eat just about anything within their reach!
Below you'll find some of the suggested wildlife resistant plants that are still fairly easy to grow and care for.

Sometimes the resistant plant alone may not be a foolproof control strategy. If planting some (or even a lot) of the deer, groundhog or rabbit resistant plants in your garden is unsuccessful, you may need to resort to fencing around the area.
Fencing garden pests out of your garden areas is the most effective way to eliminate wildlife damage to your plants.
